Cocoon Hoody
The Cocoon Hoody was custom-designed for the Arctic 1000 Expedition and may provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulating garment available. For only an ounce of weight penalty over the Cocoon Pullover (9 oz.) the benefits of a hood are added.
The Cocoon Hoody provides excellent warmth via 68 g/sq. m Polarguard Delta insulation in between Pertex Quantum Ripstop (outside) and Pertex Quantum Taffeta (inside). The all-synthetic fabrics allow for worry-less travel through wetter climates as the materials ability to insulate are only slightly compromised when wet.
The Cocoon line of clothing and sleeping quilts are all designed to work in conjunction with each other to maximize equipment usage and minimize weight and bulk. The Cocoon Hoody can be integrated with any of the Cocoon Sleeping Quilts and Cocoon Pants to further the temperature range of your sleep system.
